The company describes its technology as an integrity layer positioned between content creation and public distribution, where digital assets can be prepared for increasingly automated media environments before reaching platforms, marketplaces, or AI systems.
Jorge says, “The question I kept coming back to was simple: when a piece of media moves through ten different systems, what allows us to understand where it came from, what happened to it, and whether the information surrounding it can still be trusted? That question became the foundation for Keep Chill.”
The company has built its work around the view that media integrity needs to be considered within the infrastructure that handles content. Keep Chill describes its platform as an integrity layer for AI-era media distribution, positioned within existing workflows rather than requiring organizations to replace their production systems.
That approach has become particularly relevant to the company's work with provenance. “Provenance only becomes useful when it can travel with the content and remain meaningful as that content moves through real workflows,” says Jorge. “We have always looked at the problem from the perspective of infrastructure. If integrity depends on someone remembering to do something manually at the end of a process, it is difficult to build that into a system at scale.”
Keep Chill’s architecture includes infrastructure-level embedding, protection against automated manipulation, provenance-ready output formats, and pipeline-native deployment, according to the company. It states that its focus is on integrating those capabilities into existing media environments, including systems handling substantial volumes of digital assets.
For Jorge, the technical challenge extends beyond establishing whether a file has an associated provenance record. He views integrity as a broader operational consideration involving how assets are handled, accessed, and processed throughout their lifecycle.
“Authenticity is not a single moment in the life of a piece of content,” he says. “It is a chain of decisions, systems and transformations. The infrastructure has to account for that chain if we expect people to place meaningful trust in digital media.”
Keep Chill states that provenance specifications address areas such as authenticity and metadata integrity, while its trust architecture addresses operational integrity, adversarial resilience and controlled data handling.
Those principles also inform the company's approach to access and data retention. Keep Chill states that access is controlled, logged and auditable, while its systems use isolated processing environments and limited data retention. The company says its infrastructure is designed with adversarial conditions in mind.
“Privacy and integrity are architectural decisions,” Jorge says. “If you wait until the end of a product cycle to think about them, you are already working around decisions that have been made. We wanted those considerations to shape the infrastructure from the beginning.”
The founder's perspective has also influenced Keep Chill's emphasis on workflow integration. The company describes its infrastructure as API first and workflow native, with applications across media platforms, AI content systems and professional creator environments. Keep Chill has also identified creator marketplaces, ecommerce content teams, sports and event media among potential applications for its infrastructure.
“Creators already have workflows, audiences and businesses built around their content,” Jorge says. “Technology should respect that reality. The infrastructure has to meet people where the work is happening and provide additional confidence without creating another process they have to manage.”
Three years after its founding, Jorge Calderon Contreras says the central challenge remains closely tied to the pace of technological change. Artificial intelligence continues to alter how digital content can be produced and processed, creating new requirements for the systems that manage media throughout its lifecycle.
“We started Keep Chill because we believed the infrastructure around media would eventually have to catch up with the capabilities of the technology creating it,” Jorge says. “Three years later, that conviction has only become clearer. The future of digital media will depend on whether we can build systems that make integrity part of the process, not an afterthought.”
