From AT&T Executive to Multi-Venture Entrepreneur
With more than 32 years of service in the technology sector, Mr. Seymour has successfully transitioned into a multifaceted entrepreneur. Currently serving as the vice president of investor relations at Bryant Brothers Construction LLC, he oversees a company specializing in cabinetry, kitchens, remodeling, flooring, painting and roofing. The firm also engages in real estate ventures, purchasing and modernizing homes for sale or rent.
"My journey from tech executive to entrepreneur has been driven by a desire to create value and improve lives," says Mr. Seymour. "Whether it's through innovative construction projects or bringing a taste of Philadelphia to Atlanta, each venture is about making a positive impact."
Mr. Seymour's entrepreneurial spirit extends to the food industry as well. He is the co-owner and board member of South of Philly, a restaurant and food truck service offering traditional Philly cheesesteaks and catering options throughout the Atlanta region. "South of Philly is more than just a business; it's about bringing people together through great food and service," Mr. Seymour explains.
Innovations in Tech and Community-Focused Business Ventures
A graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics and minors in civil engineering and computer sciences, Mr. Seymour's tech career began at GTE Wireless and BellSouth Mobility which later became AT&T. Rising through the ranks, he became an assistant vice president focusing on technology development and operations supporting over 30 platforms.
During his tenure at AT&T, Mr. Seymour played an important role in 22 acquisitions, overseeing all engineering and IT discovery for 20 of them. His innovative work led to 12 granted patents with 36 more pending. "Innovation has always been at the core of my work," Mr. Seymour shares. "Each patent and acquisition was an opportunity to push the boundaries of what's possible in technology."
One of Mr. Seymour’s most notable achievements was his involvement with the Apple Watch launch through AT&T. As AT&T’s lead technology integrator for all Apple products from inception to delivery, he was responsible for building, testing and managing critical interfaces, as well as supply chain deliveries, billing and network connectivity, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Seymour is giving back to the community. He collaborates with the Aspire Program through AT&T, encouraging high school students to pursue careers in science, technology and engineering. Additionally, he sponsors a battered women's home and works closely with law enforcement to support domestic abuse survivors.
Mr. Seymour is also an author, having published a children's book titled "Bailey & Russell's Adventure," which imparts lessons on safety, culture, patriotism and technology through the adventures of two dogs.
As he continues his entrepreneurial journey, Mr. Seymour remains dedicated to innovation and community impact. Bryant Brothers Construction LLC is preparing to rebrand as Andrew Homes with plans to expand their customer base beyond word-of-mouth referrals. Meanwhile, South of Philly continues to serve the Atlanta community, balancing its restaurant operations with a thriving catering and food truck business.
Mr. Seymour credits his success to the mentorship of his mother, a vice president in computer science at Boeing, and the female leaders he worked with throughout his career. Their guidance and courage have been instrumental in shaping his professional journey and entrepreneurial spirit.
