-- Jacobi Productions Inc., the Vancouver-based film production company co-founded by Nicolas Jacobi and Zoya Jacobi in late 2023, has secured the life rights to a covert intelligence operative at the center of one of the most significant financial recoveries in modern history.

The untitled project, currently referred to internally as Operation Domino, follows an operation that led to the recovery of vast gold reserves linked to a decades-old international case, according to Jacobi Productions. German investigative journalist Peter Müller, whose earlier documentary work first exposed the operation to the public in 1994, is set to co-develop the screenplay with Nicolas Jacobi, bringing firsthand access to sources to a story that has remained largely out of public view.
"This is a story with scale, credibility, and undeniable intrigue," said Nicolas Jacobi, CEO and Co-Founder of Jacobi Productions. "It sits at the intersection of power, secrecy, and consequence, elements that translate strongly to international audiences."
Jacobi added that the project also aims to explore the tradecraft behind real intelligence work. "This isn't just about money or power," he said. "It's about the systems that control both, and the people willing to risk everything to expose them."
The company is simultaneously advancing PARLOUR, a neo-noir thriller written by James D. Brown and Craig Katayama, inspired by Mary Howitt's poem "The Spider and the Fly." The story follows three protagonists and two antagonists as they explore moral ambiguity and navigate a world where survival often demands compromise. PARLOUR has attracted interest already from several distributors and is targeting a Fall 2026 production start in Vancouver, with casting discussions expected to follow development milestones.
With Operation Domino anchoring its slate alongside PARLOUR, Jacobi Productions is positioning itself in the global thriller space to attract interest from top-tier talent, international buyers, and additional financing partners.
