Fast-emerging Italian writer and director, Simona Calo, chronicles the plight of an Italian doctor as he fights to save the National Health care system in a new documentary

Simona Calo has continued on her quest of using her storytelling skills to narrate real-life stories in a fun and exciting way as the Italian screenwriter and director is set to release a new project about the battles of an Italian doctor (Domenico De Felice). The project, which will be officially released on the 31st of May, 2021, is a documentary that shows the plight of the doctor as he goes above and beyond to save the National Health care system.

It's a "must watch" documentary about the battles that an Italian doctor (Domenico De Felice) is fighting to save the National Health care system. It's based on the book written by Raffella Giuri,” said Simona Calo.

The global movie industry has evolved over the years to become a multi-billion-dollar market. Thanks to the emergence of several categories of stakeholders, including writers, producers, actors, and directors, millions of people across the globe have been served the best of motion picture experience. However, one name, Simona Calo, is looking to raise the bar a notch higher, with her soon-to-be-released documentary about the National Health care system further substantiating this claim.

Simona Calo is fast becoming a force in the movie industry, with her works ranking high across different platforms. In 2018, she emerged semi-finalist for the Golden Plume in Cannes with “The Dark Side of the Law”, a feature drama/thriller script about racial and religious issues. In 2019, she wrote and directed “Hasty Decisions”, a multi-award-winning short film about bullying and mass shootings.

The National Health care system project is not the first documentary from Simona as she worked on an interesting biopic “E poi la fine” (And then the end shall be) an award-winning documentary film about the famous Italian painter Dario Chiericallo in 2016.
