-- IOI Corporation Berhad (IOI) has introduced a groundbreaking Five-Year Strategic Roadmap for 2025-2029 during an exclusive internal event, High-Tea With CEO, on 21 January 2025. The transformative roadmap charts an ambitious path for IOI to become a global leader in sustainable palm products and ingredients. Building upon the foundation of the previous Five-Year Plan, which concluded in December 2024, this new strategy sets the stage for continued growth and innovation.

“The new strategic roadmap reflects our determination to continuously improve ourselves and create value for the company, with a steadfast focus on operational excellence and sustainability stewardship,” said IOI Corporation Berhad Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Dato’ Lee Yeow Chor.
The roadmap is centred on four key Strategic Priorities:
- Product Portfolio Expansion
- Innovation
- Productivity & Quality
- Sustainability & Climate Initiatives
This medium-term plan marks a significant step in IOI’s evolution from a plantation and commodity-based company to a global leader in sustainable palm products and ingredients. It reinforces the Group’s alignment with our ambitious net-zero pathway and paves the way for future growth.
The strategic roadmap was officiated by Dato’ Lee alongside senior management leaders, IOI Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer Mr Tan Kean Hua, IOI Plantation Director Mr NB Sudhakaran, IOI Director of Commodity Marketing Mr Lim Jit Uei and IOI Director of Oleochemical (Malaysia) Mr David Koo. The event was attended by over 500 employees, both in person at Palm Garden Hotel, IOI Resort City and virtually from IOI headquarters and subsidiary companies in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Germany. This strategic roadmap is not just a blueprint for the company but also unites all employees, serving as a catalyst for personal growth and career advancement, and encouraging everyone to grow and strive towards shared goals.

The event also featured an engaging fireside chat on “Efficient, Innovative & Sustainable Agriculture,” featuring Dato’ Lee and Mr NB Sudhakaran, with the discussion moderated by IOI Head of Group Strategy Mr Amir Hafiz. This was followed by a Dialogue with CEO session, where divisional heads addressed key topics and engaged with employees. The day concluded with a delightful high-tea session, offering participants the opportunity to connect with Dato’ Lee and the senior management team.
