— Integrated Design Tools, Inc. (IDT), the maker of specialized scientific and industrial digital imaging equipment, has launched the XS-1440p PCIe 3.0, a new model in the company’s popular XS line of high-speed digital cameras. The XS-1440p offers users increased frame rates and faster data transfer through use of a PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface.
“XS model cameras are especially suited for a variety of uses ranging from industrial and packaging inspection, microscopy, media/cine including special effects, traffic control and surveillance,” said a representative of IDT. “With the XS-1440p, users can take their high-speed digital photography processes even further.”
In addition to the upgraded frame rate and data transfer capabilities, the XS-1440p has a CMOS sensor and global shutter that delivers over 800 frames per second (fps) at a full resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The camera’s advanced features include frame-to-frame autoexposure, motion trigger and double exposure for PIV users. The camera’s software is tuned to work with Windows, Linux or Mac operating systems.
