-- President Barack Obama addressed the nation Tuesday to announce executive actions to reduce gun violence across the United States.

The question of the legitimacy of the new executive orders regarding gun control was expected. The orders are designed to aid in diminishing gun violence by improving background checks on future gun consumers, mental health treatment, community safety and smart gun technology.
