-- Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Green Day saw their newly-restored original tour bus, the Bookmobile, for the first time since 1994. Green Day members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool recently donated their beloved tour bus to Wheels For Wishes.

Wheels For Wishes made this nostalgic reunion happen after receiving the tour bus as a donation. They arranged for its restoration at the famous West Coast Customs. Then, they timed its appearance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to line up with Green Day’s performance, as a limited time outdoor exhibit.
Green Day got their first glimpse at the beloved tour bus on display, right outside the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The newly-refurbished Bookmobile looks brand new and clean on the outside, but the inside is original and is preserved just as it was in Green Day’s early touring days.
The band expressed their excitement for both revisiting the Bookmobile, and for all the good it will now do as a donation to Wheels For Wishes. This donation will help make dreams come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions through Make-A- Wish.
Green Day’s generous donation adds to over $41 million in donations that Wheels For Wishes has made to Make-A- Wish. Their generosity paves the way for other legendary musicians and celebrities to follow in Green Day’s footsteps, and for fans to do the same, benefitting a great cause.
