World-renowned band Green Day donated their very first tour bus to Wheels For Wishes, benefiting Make-A- Wish. —
Green Day’s makeshift tour bus is an old bookmobile van that drummer Tre Cool’s dad refurbished into a unique tour bus. The bus also served as the venue for Green Days first interview with MTV News.
Without the bookmobile, Green Day wouldn’t have been able to make it to their gigs all over the country. This piece of history isn’t done yet. Wheels For Wishes plans to have the bookmobile restored, after which it will be sent to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum in Cleveland.
The proceeds from auctioning this donation will go towards helping Make-A- Wish grant wishes to local children.
