One member of the Phoenix business community recently earned a noteworthy accolade. Jorge Pamanes of — Gebesa, a premium office furniture design and manufacturing firm, announced earlier this month the company is the latest recipient of the METROCON Mission Award. Recipients were named at this year's METROCON Expo and Conference, which was held in Dallas, Texas on August 8 and 9.
"We're both proud and overcome with joy to be the recipients of this year's METROCON Mission Award," said Pamanes. "The principles behind METROCON, and this award, in particular, fall right in line with our mission and values as a company. We place utmost emphasis on the quality of our work and upholding the core values on which our company was founded, and this award is an affirmation that we haven't lost sight of our commitment to helping the community and fostering the welfare of others."
Gebesa was named this year's Mission Award honoree in light of the company's work with the Bridge Home project. Initiated by Eric Garcetti, Mayor of Los Angeles, and Council Member, Mitch O'Farrell, the project focuses on providing temporary housing for the homeless. One of these facilities houses 72 people and offer shelter for people in Los Angeles communities until they are able to find more permanent alternatives.
METROCON's goal is to introduce new products and ideas to its surrounding community of interior designers, architects, specifiers, facility managers, real estate professionals, students, and other authorities in fields pertaining to building and design. METROCON is the nation's largest non-profit, specification-focused regional expo and conference of its kind. Its annual events are planned and carried out by volunteers who devote their time and effort to bringing the affair together.
Founded in 1973, Gebesa is dedicated to providing innovative and functional design, flexible manufacturing, effective supply chain management and the highest possible level of quality. The company's values revolve around integrity, empathy, commitment, sustainability and the well-being of society.
Concluded Pamanes, "At Gebesa, we continuously seek to challenge our innovativeness and the quality of our products. Our team firmly believes in helping clients ensure their brands, ideas and cultures, and this is reflected in the products we create for them. We're honored to have been able to incorporate our quality and creativity into the Bridge Home project, and our Space Planning Department is currently working on another 3 facilities."
Through innovative and functional design, Gebesa creates high-quality, great-looking furniture and helps develop work environments that unleash the potential for innovation and success in everyone, at every level. The company approaches every project from a unique perspective to ensure its products and services give clients a complete solution to their needs.
