The new funding will support the launch of Yoroll.ai, an interactive video platform designed to help short-form content creators produce playable films without the need for game engines or technical expertise.
LinearGame’s core premise is that while most people may never use Unity or Unreal Engine, nearly everyone can record and edit short videos — and, in the AI era, that can be enough to build a game. Yoroll.ai takes this approach by converting text prompts, reference images, and brief clips into branching, cinematic experiences that resemble interactive films rather than traditional 3D titles.
“Game development typically relies on complex engines and asset pipelines,” said Heath X., founder and CEO of LinearGame. “We’re taking a different direction: generative video serves as the rendering layer, while Yoroll.ai manages branching logic and game elements in the background. Our objective is to enable anyone to create a personalized, playable story without touching a conventional engine.”
On Yoroll.ai, creators simply describe scenes, upload supporting visuals, and define decision points. The platform generates video sequences, structures them into a non-linear narrative, and adds gameplay components such as multiple choices, quick-time events (QTEs), and light combat — all without code, 3D tools, or prior development knowledge. LinearGame describes this as a “video-first, story-first workflow,” intended for TikTok-era storytellers, independent filmmakers, fanfiction writers, and anyone with a camera and an idea.
To demonstrate the potential of AI-generated interactive video, the company will also introduce LinearGame Studio, its in-house production arm. The studio is developing several interactive, film-style projects in high-engagement genres including romance, supernatural thriller, and mystery. These titles will serve as flagship IP, creative references, and proof-of-concept projects for future creators on the platform.
LinearGame anticipates that the future of entertainment will increasingly combine short-form video, cinematic storytelling, and lightweight interactive gameplay. The company believes that upcoming breakout titles may look less like expansive open-world 3D games and more like bingeable, playable video episodes created by the same audiences driving TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Proceeds from the financing will be used to expand engineering and content teams, integrate emerging AI video technologies, accelerate Yoroll.ai’s closed beta, and launch LinearGame Studio’s initial titles across PC, console, mobile, and web. Additional platform features and creator tools will be announced in the coming months.
