Foshan Hi-tech Zone made a stunning appearance in Silicon Valley and also announced The 2018 — XingShi-Cup International Industry Competition on May 2nd, 2018. Foshan, with its long history and rich culture, is considered one of the birthplaces of Lingnan Culture and has become famous for ceramics, canton opera, martial arts, canton silk, patent medicine in lingnan region, and folk arts.
A promotional video of Foshan Hi-tech Zone was shown at the Silicon Valley appearance to inform the viewers about its advantages as well as its most notable characteristics and projects such as Foshan Xi Railway Station, Leaguer Science Park, Nanhai Higher Education Mega Center and Guangdong University of Technology CNC Equipment Cooperative Innovation Institute. It has shown to the world why Foshan is a superior social, cultural and economic environment for bringing up and moving forward innovation and entrepreneurship.
"Being one of the earliest coastal cities of the open economy, Foshan has become an industrialized city as well as the most romantic and cultivated corner in China. Foshan National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone is such a good place," said Mr. Liu Taogen, chairman of Management Committee of Foshan Hi-tech Industry Development Zone in the video, welcoming people to come to Foshan.
On the same day, Foshan also launched the 2018 XingShi-Cup International Industry Competition. The competition will consist out of two parts, a hackathon, and a workshop, and will take place in the areas including Silicon Valley, LA, and China. Foshan welcomed all excellent designers to visit and wants to help designers to achieve industrialization.
