He has served in his current role since August 2024, following over 30 years with the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles, where he progressed from an entry-level Investigator to Deputy Commissioner before retiring in 2024. In addition to his government career, he has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Albany since 2015, teaching courses on Biometrics, Cybersecurity, and Counterterrorism. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in sociology from York College of Pennsylvania, along with a master’s degree in public administration and counterterrorism from the University of Albany’s Rockefeller College.
