-- Eric Harris, Founder and CEO of Canary MedTech, received the “Excellence In Healthcare Award” at the Health 2.0 Conference. The event took place from April 7–9, 2026, at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, USA. The award recognized those who advance healthcare knowledge, system design, and innovation.
Eric Harris is the Founder and CEO of Canary MedTech. He brings over 20 years of product strategy and systems innovation experience, including work at NASA, the US Army Materiel Command, and Microsoft's Copilot team. His move into health technology was personal: a close family member gained 15 pounds in two weeks, a warning sign that went undetected because accessible at-home monitoring simply didn't exist.
That experience exposed a gap Eric couldn't ignore. He spent two years researching the problem before building a solution. Today, he focuses on the intersection of health equity, data infrastructure, and independent living for people with mobility limitations.
Upon receiving the award, Eric shared, “It’s a true honor to be recognized, and this award really highlights how much vital work is still left to do. We have major milestones ahead at Canary MedTech, and collaboration will be key to getting there.
