EndoFresh Marks World Environment Day 2026 by Planting 2,000 Trees for Healthier Futures

Through the EndoFresh Forest, the global single-use endoscopy leader is expanding its commitment to patient health beyond the clinic, supporting reforestation, carbon offsetting, and community-led restoration projects in Spain and Madagascar.

-- At EndoFresh, our commitment to health has never stopped at the patient's bedside. As a global manufacturer of advanced single-use endoscopy solutions, we believe that protecting human health and protecting the natural environment are two expressions of the same mission. A healthier future for patients is only possible on a healthier planet.

To mark World Environment Day 2026, we are proud to share the progress of the EndoFresh Forest, our flagship environmental initiative dedicated to large-scale reforestation, ecosystem restoration, and long-term sustainability. What began as a corporate sustainability commitment has grown into a living, measurable contribution to climate action, biodiversity, and rural community development.

The EndoFresh Forest at a glance

  • 2,000 trees planted across two active restoration sites
  • 1,700 tonnes of CO₂ projected to be offset over the trees' productive lifetime
  • 2 countries Spain and Madagascar, two distinct ecosystems
  • Local impact income and stewardship opportunities for farming communities

Where our trees are growing

Our reforestation footprint spans two ecologically critical regions, each chosen for the long-term environmental and social value it generates.

Seaforestation Project, Spain

Located along the Spanish coastline, this initiative restores native coastal vegetation and contributes to the stabilization of fragile coastal ecosystems. Beyond carbon capture, the project enhances soil retention, supports pollinator populations, and reinforces the natural buffers that protect coastlines from erosion and climate-driven weather events.

Vohidahy Forest Restoration Project, Madagascar

Madagascar is home to some of the most biologically unique ecosystems on Earth, and one of the most threatened. The Vohidahy Forest Restoration Project regenerates degraded forest landscapes, restores habitat for endemic species, and provides income to rural farming families who plant, monitor, and care for the trees over time. Every seedling becomes part of a regenerative cycle that benefits both biodiversity and the people who depend on the land.

Why this matters for healthcare

EndoFresh's mission centers on patient safety, clinical performance, and the responsible delivery of single-use medical solutions. That same standard of care now extends to the environment in which our patients, partners, and communities live.

Climate change is increasingly recognized as a healthcare issue. Air quality, water security, vector-borne disease, food systems, and the stability of healthcare supply chains are all influenced by the health of the planet. By investing in verified reforestation, EndoFresh is acting on this connection directly, not as a symbolic gesture, but as a structural part of how we define corporate responsibility.

Turning commitment into measurable action

Sustainability is not achieved through a single initiative, it is built through consistent, accountable action over time. The EndoFresh Forest is designed to be transparent and verifiable. Every tree is planted by a local partner, geo-located, monitored, and contributes to a calculated CO₂ offset projected over its lifetime.

From coastal restoration in Spain to the regeneration of unique forest landscapes in Madagascar, these projects show how collective corporate action can strengthen climate resilience, protect natural resources, and create long-term value for communities that are most affected by environmental change.

A word from our partner, Evertreen

EndoFresh selected Evertreen as its reforestation partner for a clear reason: Evertreen works directly with local farmers rather than through intermediaries, every tree is satellite monitored, and every contribution is tied to a measurable, certified environmental outcome.

“Partnering with EndoFresh has been a genuinely meaningful collaboration for our team. They approached this initiative with the same rigor they bring to medical innovation, real impact, measurable outcomes, and authentic care for the communities involved. The 2,000 trees in the EndoFresh Forest are not abstract carbon credits. They are living assets planted by local farmers, tracked via satellite, and certified for the carbon they will draw down across their lifetime. EndoFresh is showing that today's healthcare leaders are also writing some of the most thoughtful chapters in the global story of corporate climate action.”

Growing a greener tomorrow

World Environment Day is a moment to reflect on the impact we make, not only through innovation, but also through responsibility. As EndoFresh continues to advance clinical solutions across endoscopy and minimally invasive medicine, we remain equally committed to advancing a more sustainable future for our industry.

The 2,000 trees planted so far are only the beginning. In the years ahead, EndoFresh will continue to expand the EndoFresh Forest, deepen our partnerships with planting communities, and integrate environmental responsibility into every layer of how we design, manufacture, and deliver our products. Healthier patients, healthier ecosystems, and healthier futures are not separate goals. They are the same one.

Creating healthier futures. Caring for both people and the planet.
