Elizabeth Connolly is the Founder and President of the Thin Line Peer Support Team, Inc., and a full-time paramedic. A first responder for the past 17 years, Liz has worked as both a paramedic and firefighter across the state of CT.
She also volunteers for the CT Task Force 1 Urban Search & Rescue Team and most recently joined the CT militia as part of the Second Company Governor’s Footguard, where she currently holds the rank of Private First Class. When not working and responding to emergencies, Liz enjoys spending downtime at home with her husband, two dogs and Flemish Giant rabbit, as well as singing karaoke and ballroom dancing.
Being recognized at the Health 2.0 Conference for her tireless efforts in the healthcare field, Elizabeth shared her heartfelt appreciation and hopes for what lies ahead. Reflecting on the moment, she said, “I am truly humbled and honored to have been recognized for my work with the Thin Line team. Mental health is a battle nearly every first responder and military service member will face at some point in their career, and we must change the narrative and stigma surrounding seeking mental health help. I am so thankful to have been provided the opportunity to bring this. Our hero's fight to an international platform and bring it to the attention of so many of my healthcare peers. My work is just beginning, and you can expect to see big things from the Thin Line Peer Support Team in the future.”
