Dr. Rose Wan-Mui Chu is an accomplished educator and systems-change leader who believes deeply in the power of teaching to shape more equitable and thriving communities. She is the Founder of Elevate Teaching, a movement to restore the prestige of the teaching profession by shifting public narratives and strengthening inclusive pathways into teaching.
Rose began her career as a research engineer before answering a calling to education as a classroom teacher. Her life’s work spans leadership across schools and districts, higher education, community organizations, and education policy. In her second elected term, she is currently serving as the school board chair of Roseville Area Schools, a public school district in Minnesota, USA. Rose brings a hopeful and collaborative lens to educational transformation in all that she does.
