-- Dr. Adam Perlman, Chief Medical Officer at Pendulum Therapeutics, was presented with the 'Excellence In Healthcare Award' at the Health 2.0 Conference Spring Edition. He was recognized for his leadership in advancing integrative healthcare and microbiome-based therapeutics. Held from March 4–6, 2025, at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, this three-day health conference brought together healthcare innovators and changemakers from across the globe.
Dr. Perlman is a globally recognized expert in integrative and functional medicine. As Chief Medical Officer at Pendulum Therapeutics, he guides clinical strategy to harness the potential of the human microbiome in improving metabolic health.
Before joining Pendulum, Dr. Perlman served as the Director of Integrative Health and Wellbeing at Mayo Clinic in Florida. He also held the role of Associate Vice President for Health and Wellness at Duke University Health System. In both positions, he played a pivotal role in building care models that integrate conventional medicine with holistic and lifestyle-based approaches.
Dr. Perlman earned his BA from Tufts University and MD from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine, followed by a General Internal Medicine Research Fellowship. Additionally, he holds a Master of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health.
Upon receiving the award at the Health 2.0 Conference, Dr. Perlman shared his gratitude for the recognition, stating, “I’m so grateful for this recognition – it’s a fantastic feeling, and quite a nostalgic one as I reflect on the journey during my career to this point.
