Designer Fireplaces has recently completed the integration of its previous websites—oakfiresurrounds.co.uk and marblefireplace.co.uk—into a new consolidated platform, fireplace.co.uk. The launch marks the company’s biggest digital transition, streamlining its online presence and aiming to further improve the customer shopping experience.
The decision to merge the sites was part of Designer Fireplaces’ long-term strategy to simplify how customers access its product range and services. Uniting its content under one domain meant the company could create a single, authoritative destination for consumers shopping for fireplaces and surrounds.
“This consolidation has been years in the making,” said Mathilde Stanford-Ravet, Sales Manager at Designer Fireplaces. “The new website is a thoughtful redesign of how we present our products and interact with our customers online. We’ve worked to make the experience more intuitive and visually engaging while still maintaining the trust and quality our customers expect.”
Previously, customers browsing for oak or marble fireplaces within the Designer Fireplaces brand had to switch between separate platforms, tailored to their own specific materials and product lines. While this was a functional approach, it prevented the company from being able to showcase the full breadth of its offerings.
Now, with unified website addresses, all product categories have been combined into a centralized online destination. Visitors can now shop for oak, marble, and other fireplace designs on the same site without switching between domains.
“Our goal was to create a website that’s easy to use, whether someone knows exactly what they’re looking for or they’re just exploring their options,” Mathilde explained. “With every decision we made, we were always asking, how can we make things simpler and more efficient for our customers?”
Fireplace.co.uk introduces new features designed to improve functionality and engagement. These include improved navigation, allowing users to browse by material, style, or size, as well as enhanced search filters, so users can refine their searches by dimensions, price, and other key attributes.
While the integration has been a big change to Designer Fireplaces’ online presence, its core values haven’t changed. The company continues to manufacture fireplaces and surrounds in its UK-based workshop, offering customisation options to suit individual customer needs.
“Preserving our existing relationships was a top priority,” said Mathilde “We’ve worked hard to make sure this transition feels seamless for our returning customers.”
The launch of fireplace.co.uk is just one of the ways that Designer Fireplaces’ is committing to evolve with customer expectations. As online shopping becomes increasingly competitive, the company sees its new platform as a starting point for future growth.
