Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. is included in the prestigious S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024 for outstanding Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance. Delta Thailand is yet again the only Thailand-based company in the “Electronic Equipment, Instruments & Components” sector of the Sustainability Yearbook 2024. Previously, Delta Thailand won the S&P Global Bronze Class Award and two previous S&P Global Silver Class Awards for sustainability leadership in Thailand’s electronics industry.
Mr. Victor Cheng, Delta Electronics Thailand CEO, said, “Delta is honored to maintain our sustainability leadership in Thailand’s electronics manufacturing industry. We are proud to be on both the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook and the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices which are global sustainability assessments for the international investor community. We collaborate with both our upstream and downstream stakeholders to measure and implement strategic actions to improve resilience and efficiency while reducing our carbon footprint. Delta’s outstanding ESG performance is key to our competitive advantage in global markets.”
Yearbook members are selected based on their score from the S&P Global 2023 Corporate Sustainability Assessment, or CSA Score. Delta once again shows its sustainable leadership in Thailand’s electronics sector after achieving scores within the top 15% of its industry and a CSA Score within 30% of its industry’s top-performing company.
The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024 is based on the 2023 CSA of 9,400 leading companies around the world in 62 industries assessed, with 174,000 documents uploaded and 16,500,000 data entry points collected. From 2023, a revised methodology further aligns the Yearbook’s methodology with the approach taken to select companies into S&P Global ESG Indices.
Created jointly by S&P Dow Jones Indices and RobecoSAM, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) launched in 1999 as the first global sustainability benchmark and tracks the stock performance of the world's leading companies in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria. S&P Global published the Sustainability Yearbook 2020 in collaboration with RobecoSAM after S&P Global’s acquisition of the ESG Ratings business from RobecoSAM.
Since 2018, Delta Thailand has implemented an ESG and sustainability strategy by educating and collaborating with partners and suppliers for anti-corruption and a circular economy. Delta’s extensive reporting and data collection help to measure and encourage recycled materials usage and carbon footprint tracking of its products. This latest achievement underscores the company’s commitment to delivering on its brand promise-Smarter. Greener. Together.
