With over 35 years of Fortune 500 experience in the health care, hospital and health insurance fields, Riegel is well equipped to manage all health service operations at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center. Riegel’s political background, including his current role as City Councilman, also proves his deep devotion to our community and its residents.
Dean Riegel’s role includes implementing new initiatives and strategic planning practices, coordinating the management team, serving as a liaison to partners, managing the annual budget and building relationships with providers in the public and private sectors.
“I have no doubt that Dean Riegel will excel in this new role and ensure the effective operation of all clinic programs,” said Herbert L. Dreyton III, CEO of CCOH. “His dedication to improving our community is unmatched.”
Although he now serves in a new capacity as Health Services Administrator, Dean Riegel’s service to Charleston families is far from over.
