-- David Andrew Wiebe, CEO & Founder of David Andrew Wiebe, was presented with the “Entrepreneurial Excellence Award” at the Founders 2.0 Conference. The three-day business conference was held from April 7–9, 2026, at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, USA. The award was presented to individuals shaping industries through entrepreneurial vision, innovation, and sustained impact.
Born in Canada and raised in Japan, Wiebe is bilingual and creatively inclined from an early age. His time in Japan deeply shaped his imagination, fueled by video games, music, anime, and manga. Even in school, he often focused on drawing mazes and manga, conceptualizing games, or writing satirical newsletters. At the age of 13, Wiebe lost his father in a motorcycle accident, which led him to channel his emotions into music. He began writing songs intensely and quickly learned guitar, developing strong songwriting skills.
Later, he co-founded a graphic and web design company with his business partner and drummer. This experience sparked his interest in marketing, leading him into new media such as podcasting, video, and composing for video games. He went on to become a multi-award-winning composer of The Nobody Prayer. David further honed his writing through blogs, freelance work, ghostwriting, and copywriting, including contributions to TuneCity, a company he invested in. He has self-published 13 books, several of which are award-winning and best-sellers.
Today, David is a community builder, entrepreneur, investor, and coach. He has contributed to creative communities like The Indie YYC, The 3 Project, and Spark Infinity, and founded Indie Career Formula to help creatives build audiences and income from their passion.
Upon receiving the award at the business conference, David remarked, “Being acknowledged for your hard work across a variety of domains is an exhilarating experience.
