-- On the evening of June 27, 2026, the “Heihe of the World · Wild Dance Competition — 2026 Zijin Night” Asia-Europe Tour got underway at Century Square in Heihe, China. Ten dance troupes from China and abroad competed on the same stage, using dance as a bridge to present local residents and visitors with a spectacular summer cultural gala that transcended national borders. Media support for the event was provided by the Publicity Department of the CPC Heihe Municipal Committee and Heihe Border Horn Media Co., Ltd.

Since registration opened, the competition has attracted 68 teams and more than 1,300 dancers from China and abroad, with participants coming from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, multiple provinces and municipalities across China, and major cities in the Russia’s Far East. Running for one month, the event features six weekly competitions held every Saturday from June 20 to July 25, including the City Friendship Competition, Youth Campus Competition, Study Tour Innovation Competition, and Mystery Carnival Night. A series of supporting activities will also be held, including China-Russia cross-border dance study tours, masterclasses, cultural exchanges, surprise flash mobs, and Wild Dance-themed creative markets.

At the competition, “Jubilant Lurigele” performed by the Hulunbuir team from Inner Mongolia, China, captivated the audience with its graceful choreography, while “Full of Green” by Russia’s Alantur Art Troupe from Krasnoyarsk delivered a gentle and heartwarming performance. From the richly traditional “Looking Toward Beijing from the Grasslands” and “Northern Shaanxi Yangko,” to the trendy “The Girls” and “Peak Beat,” and the energetic “Maxi’s Pulse” and “Chasing,” traditional and contemporary styles intertwined as Chinese culture blended with artistic influences from across Asia and Europe. The audience responded with enthusiastic applause and continuous cheers throughout the evening.

The competition adopted a comprehensive judging system combining on-site audience voting, online livestream voting, and scoring by a panel of Chinese and international judges, ensuring an open, transparent, fair, and impartial process. Following intense competition, the Bingyun Dance Troupe of Harbin Sport University and Russia’s Hope Modern Dance Troupe won the Chinese Division and Russian Division championships, respectively.
A single dance connects mountains and seas, while one competition brings Asia and Europe closer together. Through the vitality of dance, the event builds a bridge for mutual learning among civilizations, while its high-profile cross-border format further enhances the international profile of “Heihe of the World.” Looking ahead, Heihe will continue to embrace the future with greater openness, inclusiveness, and vitality, writing a new chapter in cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and the rest of the world!
