— CLEforME.com, a California Bar-approved provider of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), announced today that is opening a search for attorneys to teach California MCLE ethics courses for the 2017 compliance deadline. The company expects to hire three experienced, practicing attorneys to teach one ethics hour each. For seven years, CLEforME.com has published the popular CA MCLE Power Pack, which contains the six “hard to find” course hours in ethics, bias and professional conduct.
“We are looking for attorneys who understand California legal ethics and who can present the issues in an engaging way,” said Hugh Taylor, CEO of CLEforME.com. “Ethics MCLE has a reputation for being boring, but it needn’t be. It can be an intellectually stimulating experience for the listener if it’s done right.”
CLEforME.com is looking for attorneys who can highlight practical, day-to-day ethical issues in the practice of law in California. Experts in malpractice are of particular interest. Attorneys interested in teaching should submit course ideas and resumes to info@cleforme.com. The courses will be offered as live teleconferences in October of 2016. The presentations will be recorded and published as audio CDs for mandatory continuing legal education for California Bar members.
CLEforMe.com is a CA Bar approved multi-course MCLE provider. Provider #15304. The company has found success by producing interesting, fun courses on topics that some attorneys find dull, such as substance abuse awareness. Per the California Bar, courses over three years old need to be retired. The 2015 Power Pack, which includes the following courses, is being updated.
• Ethical Issues in Terminating the Attorney-Client Relationship
• Legal Ethics Red Flags
• Navigating the Ethical Minefield of Social Media for California Attorneys
• Legal Ethics: The Limits of Aggressive Counsel
• Mental Health, Addiction, and Professional Competency
• Being Aware of Cultural Differences When Clients Do Business in Mexico
The Power Pack is available now at www.cleforme.com. The company also offers an Ethics Pack, which contains four hours of legal ethics courses. The California Bar requires four hours of ethics instruction, one hour of bias and one hour of substance (professional competency) coursework every three years.
