Canadian Merchant Bank, Forbes & Manhattan, including its founder, renowned mining financier, Stan Bharti, alongside legendary investor and prominent F&M advisory board member, Jim Rogers, announced their plans to visit South Korea in Jan/Feb 2018, to host a conference introducing Forbes and Man-hattan, and its exclusively selected global projects, to South Korea. —
The communication comes after one of F&Ms flagship portfolio companies, Brazil Potash Corporation (BPC), announced it had entered advanced discussions with a number of prominent South Korean investors.
BPC is a world-class scale potash project, strategically located in Brazil, an agricultural export goliath that relies heavily on Potash for its use as fertiliser. The project has received widespread acclaim including strong backing by the Brazilian Government and Development Bank, as well as the “Top Engenharia” award for its engineering excellence and being one of the most recogniz-able engineering projects currently underway in Brazil.
The trip will also be used to promote collaboration between F&M and Korean enterprise on se-lected resource deals, including battery chemistry inputs such as Lithium and Zinc, that are strategically important to Korea’s thriving consumer electronics industry.
During the visit, Forbes and Manhattan will also look to extend relations and open discussions with Korean companies, ministers and public sector organisations to assess opportunities for col-laboration.
F&M founder, Stan Bharti, commented that “Jim Rogers and I are excited to visit Seoul and host the conference, and Forbes & Manhattan looks forward to working alongside South Korean en-terprise in promoting its footprint in the resource and investment space”
