-- Brow Daddy is coming to Calgary!

Ruben Kasper, known as Brow Daddy to his legion of fans, will be holding classes to teach his Ombre Powdered Brow technique in Calgary Alberta July 7 and 8 at Face Amor Beauty & Academy in Calgary’s Mahogany Village.

Brow Daddy is in Calgary to kick off the international portion of his educational tour for his Ombre Powdered Brow technique. He has already toured extensively throughout the United States, teaching classes in his home city of Las Vegas in April and since then making stops in New York, Miami, Hawaii, Los Angeles and Houston. In August, Brow Daddy will fly over to the United Kingdom and then back to Toronto for classes at the end of August and beginning of September. Amsterdam and Australia are next on Brow Daddy’s international tour in October.

During the sold out classes at Face Amor, participants will learn Brow Daddy’s signature brow mapping technique so they can achieve the perfectly sharp eyebrows that are essential to the look of the Ombre Powdered Brow. Brow Daddy will then demonstrate the technique on a live model and participants will then practice the technique on their own live models.

Brow Daddy says he is relishing the opportunity to teach a class at Face Amor in Calgary.

“Teaching the Ombre Powdered Brow technique at Face Amor is great for getting it out to an international audience,” Brow Daddy said. “This international educational tour has been in the works for a long time and Calgary, where there is such a vibrant beauty and cosmetics scene, is the ultimate place to kick it off. It is amazing being able to share the Ombre Powdered Brow technique with students who will carry it on in their own salons, which is the ultimate way to showcase the technique to a wider international audience. Calgary will go from Cowtown to Browtown.”

A semi-permanent makeup technique that is meant to emulate the look of powdered eyebrows, the Ombre Powdered Brow technique starts light and then gets darker toward the tip of the brow.

Brow Daddy says it differs from microblading in that, unlike with microblading, the Ombre Powdered Brow technique will not distort over time. Microblading is meant to mimic an eyebrow without makeup and consists of individual strokes that are meant to look like individual hairs. However, Brow Daddy says, those individual hair strokes tend to get distorted over time because the pigment spreads in the skin. This means people end up not getting exactly what they’re paying for.

With the Ombre Powdered Brow technique, he notes, it stays the same throughout the pigment’s duration, which usually lasts about two years depending on factors like a person’s skin tone and their lifestyle.

The Ombre Powdered Brow technique provides people with a smudge-proof, waterproof eyebrow with a perfect makeup effect. Eventually, the pigment fades out leaving the person’s natural eyebrows and skin.
