Briana is not the average sixth grader. On one level, she’s a typical girl who loves to read, dance and sing. Briana has a passion for fashion, art, hairstyles, and she is also big into girl power. On the other hand, she is always reaching for the top, striving to get the best grades and always pushing herself to try new things. Her talent for music and her yearning to give expressions to her thoughts have led her to release a single so that she can be an inspiration to other young people. —
Briana’s journey into music has not been an easy one. She was born with optic nerve hypoplasia, and is blind in the right eye, yet this has never hindered her for one second. Despite her disability, Briana lives life with all optimism and vivacity that people often do not know about, unless they knew her well. Nothing stops her from living life to the extreme.
Briana thinks that girls her age talk about boys way too much and should instead be focused on their education! Her parents, Ima Wallace and Odaine Wallace have always been her no 1 supporters. Briana’s fashion sense is razor-sharp and unique. Yet when asked who her role models her, she immediately said, “my mom and dad”.
She however, admires actress/singer/dancer Zendaya Coleman, as she encourages people in a positive way and truly believes in female empowerment. Singer Tori Kelly and Nick Jonas also give her inspiration as young artists who never stopped following their dreams.
Besides singing, Briana loves to blog. She spends part of her time building and working on her new blog, AskkBri by BriPynk, a platform upon which she hopes to connect to and inspire kids everywhere to believe in themselves and in their futures through education, reading, challenges, tips and ideas.
AskkBri by BriPynk is especially for individuals who are just like Briana: exploring the possibilities of life and trying new things as they work towards building their dreams. She might seem shy to some, but her ideas are as big as the sky.
“Born to win” will be Briana’s first single.
