San Diego’s premier office furniture store, Business Office Outfitters, commonly known as BOO Furniture was involved in a major project this summer – completely outfitting the offices of a major broadcasting company iHeart Media in their San Diego headquarters.The company opted for an open-plan office, meaning most employees do not have their own offices but share the space with others. However, thanks to BOO Furniture, each of the 40+ employees got as much privacy as they required. Coupled with height-adjustable desks and ergonomic chairs, the whole space feels open, yet offers the privacy needed to work at maximum efficiency.
The company used to have two separate offices for different departments which seriously affected the efficiency and communication between teams. Acquiring a bigger space meant that the teams can work together, but it took real office furniture and office design professionals to make it all come together.
“This project is what we got into this job in the first place – being able to design and outfit an entire office in one take really makes all of the elements come together and make the office feel as a single unit. We’re really happy iHeart Media trusted us to do this job,” said Jerry Sinclair, Co-Owner of BOO Furniture. Mr. Sinclair added: “We always like to say that the office space and furniture make a lot of the atmosphere in the office. If you are not comfortable with your office and your chair/desk, you will not give it your best. We made sure that iHeart Media team has all the requirements to give it their best.”
