Lindsay Rose Rando’s passion for fashion began at a young age, not on a runway, but behind the counter of her grandmother’s consignment shop.

“The business I have built was profoundly shaped by my grandmother’s consignment shop,” Rando says. “Growing up on the counter, I witnessed women being styled from head to toe without spending a fortune. I loved being surrounded by laughter, creativity, and women supporting one another. Fashion should be fun!”

Her early experiences influenced every aspect of Bobbles and Lace’s ethos. After time spent modeling, styling, and selling jewelry in Los Angeles, she returned to her hometown to launch her dream: a place where women could embrace their unique style affordably and joyfully.

From Passion Project to Premier Fashion Franchise

What started as a single boutique in Marblehead quickly grew. Bobbles & Lace now boasts multiple locations throughout New England, from Maine to Connecticut. But the idea of franchising came to life organically.

“The idea of franchising emerged during a Thanksgiving gathering with my family,” Rando recalls. “I dove deeply into the world of franchising and discovered a unique opportunity: fashion as an experience at an accessible price point had yet to be realized.”

That insight has led to the development of a franchise model that blends consistency with individuality—allowing each boutique to reflect its owner’s personality and community while staying true to the brand’s mission.

“While many fashion franchises exist, our vision of empowering women to open their own styling studios stands out as truly inspirational,” she explains. “We believe in collaboration, not uniformity.”

“Interestingly, while many retailers are shifting towards e-commerce, we are committed to enhancing in-person client interactions,” she says. “Our website serves more as an inspirational lookbook… our mission—to ‘transform the shopping experience’—is best realized within our four walls.”
