Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, led by Mr Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth (7th from left), President, and Mrs Ariya Prasarttong-Osoth (6th from left), Board of Director and Chairman of the Corporate Sustainability Working Committee, together with the executive team and Blue Volunteers, took part in the ‘Love Earth, Save Earth: Love Samui, Save the Coconut Tree’ initiative. The campaign aims to continue the company’s commitment to environmental conservation and the ‘Net Zero Carbon Emissions 2050’ goal under the ‘Low Carbon Skies by Bangkok Airways’ project.

The team planted coconut seedlings in the Samui Airport area to make use of the company’s land for coconut tree conservation and to serve as a source for absorbing carbon dioxide. Additionally, they joined forces with local fishermen from the Baan Tai Blue Swimming Crab Bank in Koh Samui to release over 7 million juvenile blue swimming crabs back into the Thai sea. This initiative promotes marine conservation and raises awareness about sustaining the balance of the community ecosystem. The event took place recently at the beachfront of Celes Beachfront Resort, Koh Samui, Surat Thani.
