-- ASK Friendship Society was honored with the “Outstanding Organization Award” at the Health 2.0 Conference. The three-day health conference was held from April 7–9, 2026, at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, USA. The recognition honors organizations delivering impactful contributions to healthcare, community well-being, and patient-centered services.

Founded in 1976, the ASK Friendship Society is a community-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults, caregivers, and families across the Lower Mainland. With nearly five decades of service, ASK has grown into a trusted hub of social connection, wellness programming, and compassionate support for seniors aging at home.

At the heart of ASK is its Adult Day Program—an essential service that provides social engagement, therapeutic recreation, health monitoring, and caregiver respite in a warm, inclusive environment. Each year, ASK supports hundreds of seniors living with chronic conditions, dementia, mobility challenges, and social isolation, ensuring they receive dignified, person-centered care that enhances their independence and quality of life.

Accepting the recognition on behalf of the organization, Dr. Amlani, Executive Director at ASK Friendship Society, shared, “On behalf of ASK Friendship Society, we are deeply honored to receive the Outstanding Organization Award at the Health 2.0 Conference. This recognition reflects the dedication, compassion, and teamwork of our incredible staff, volunteers, and community partners who work every day to create a supportive, inclusive, and meaningful environment for the older adults and caregivers we serve. At ASK, we believe that a strong workplace culture directly impacts the quality of care and connection we provide. We are proud to foster a workplace where respect, collaboration, wellness, and cultural inclusivity are valued and celebrated. Thank you to Health 2.0 for this meaningful recognition, and congratulations to all the organizations and leaders committed to improving health and community care.”

This honor received at the health conference highlighted the importance of community-based care models in supporting aging populations and enhancing overall well-being. ASK Friendship Society’s ongoing efforts continue to focus on expanding access to inclusive programs that strengthen social connections, promote health, and support families and caregivers.
