Ascott marked a year a record wins at the annual World Travel Awards, securing 35 awards across the global and regional categories, including the top honours of 'World's Leading Serviced Apartment Brand' as well as 'Asia's Leading Serviced Apartment Brand'.
The Ascott Limited (Ascott), the lodging business unit wholly owned by CapitaLand Investment (CLI), marked another year of record wins at the 31st World Travel Awards 2024, held in Madeira, Portugal on 24 November. Ascott secured 35 awards across global and regional categories, surpassing last year's total of 34. Crowning this achievement, Ascott was once again named ‘World’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’, a title it first won in 2021. Including last year’s win by Citadines, one of Ascott’s brands, this marks the company’s third ‘World’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’ title in the last four years.
Another global title won by Ascott was the coveted ‘World’s Leading Serviced Apartments’, awarded to La Clef Champs-Elysées Paris by The Crest Collection for the second consecutive year. This title has been held by an Ascott property for three straight years, with Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila in the Philippines winning in 2022. Housed in a Haussmannian-style building built by the Hennessy family in 1907, La Clef Champs-Elysées Paris by The Crest Collection offers a luxurious stay in the heart of Paris, France, just steps from the city’s most famous landmarks. With its rich history and prime location, the property embodies the Parisian art of living, gastronomy and haute couture, making it an ideal choice for guests seeking exceptional experiences in the City of Light. The property was also named ‘Europe's Leading Serviced Apartments’ for the sixth consecutive year at the World Travel Awards - Europe 2024.
In addition to its two global titles, Ascott received 33 awards across regional categories in Asia, Oceania, Europe and the Middle East this year. Within Asia, its flagship namesake brand, Ascott, was named ‘Asia’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’ for the ninth year, while Ascott Makati in Manila, Philippines, took home the title of ‘Asia’s Leading Serviced Apartments’ for the second year. Ascott’s brands were also recognised as leading serviced apartment brands in Europe, the Middle East and Oceania. Following its venture into the resort space, Ascott clinched its first-ever win in the ‘Asia’s Leading Family Villa Resorts’ category with Oakwood Ha Long in Vietnam.
The coveted title of ‘World’s Leading Serviced Apartments’ was awarded to La Clef Champs-Elysées Paris by The Crest Collection for the second consecutive year. The property was also named ‘Europe's Leading Serviced Apartments’ for the sixth consecutive year at the World Travel Awards - Europe 2024.
Ascott Makati in the Philippines, took home the title of ‘Asia’s Leading Serviced Apartments’ for the second year. Within the Philippines, Ascott was also named the 'Leading Serviced Apartment Brand' in the country.
