— Oztomeca.com is launching its public Beta website today. The goal of this launch is to populate this website with products from manufacturers in as many industries as possible and perfect the platform. Once the platform is perfected and populated with Latin American suppliers, it will be more than ready to go for it's official launch.
In just 2 short months since moving to Mexico City to open their branch here, Oztomeca.com has accomplished many milestones.
Oztomeca currently has partnerships with three very credible and well-known companies: Asian Inspection, Cristal Credit, and Escrow.com. These partnerships will ensure that its customers have everything they could possibly need, from product inspection to credit checks, to an easy-to-use payment system and more. Oztomeca has become a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Mexico. The company has also now connected with ANEIRM, the National Association of Importers and Exporters of the Mexican Republic.
The company has also succeeded in securing a spot to present at Aldea Digital on July 22nd, 2015. This is the largest digital inclusion event in the world and will take place in Zocalo, the central square of Mexico City. This will be a massive tech event with over 250,000 participants that will give the website even more exposure and enable it to move even more quickly into the official launch.
Their social media is also doing great. Oztomeca has now reached 1,004 likes on Facebook and has 304 followers on twitter. Their team has been in consistent contact with many media and trade professionals on both platforms; tweeting, commenting and re-tweeting every day on twitter and posting and making connections on Facebook nearly every day.
The main goal of Oztomeca.com is to break down the barriers of international trade and help connect suppliers & buyers of Latin America to those of the rest of the world. The website's main competitor is Alibaba, which is of course doing more than extremely well providing connections to manufacturers in China for businesses around the world, but has not yet reached Latin America as a source of manufacturers. The founders of Oztomeca want to continue what they started by expanding into a part of the world desperately in need of economic support, especially a better system of online trade and e-commerce.
Speaking specifically of the goal of this Beta launch, the CEO of Oztomeca, Pablo Quintero presents this vision: “We expect our Public Beta launch will allow us to perfect our platform, and fulfill the needs of our customers. We are very excited, as this could be a new revolution for the method of trade in Latin America.”
