AMG Services and fashion blog, A Shoe In Fashion, are working together to introduce a sleek new app that aims to make shopping irresistible. The app, called ShopBuddy, would run on all Android and iOS devices, and will allow users to try on different items before purchasing them through the app's secure interface.
"We are starting off with accessories—hats, goggles, bags, and jewelry—but will be adding dresses very soon,” says Juliana Moore, AMG's senior developer. “The idea is to let people see how they look when they are wearing a particular item."
ShopBuddy does more than just let users see how an item would look on them. It will also update users about the latest fashion trends and products from collaborating brands, curated by experts at A Shoe In Fashion.
"It's not that you'll just be looking at fashion trends and news, but will actually be able to virtually wear those products and buy the ones that you like, says A Shoe In Fashion’s Christina Marshal. “We are feverishly working behind the scenes to gather an extensive variety of latest fashion products that will basically power the new app.".
There are numerous fashion apps available for download, but few come close to the concept that the two companies are working on. AMG Services is reported to have already prepared the interface where users can upload their photos and try virtual makeovers. The new app is expected to hit app stores this holiday season.
