The $5 Million GTD Venom NLH PKO paid out $6,245,000, including more than $3.1 million in bounties. Meanwhile, the $1.5 Million GTD Venom PLO PKO had a total prize pool of $1,602,500, keeping the action non-stop for fans of online poker tournaments.
Latvia’s Rigapols81, a former semi-pro hockey player turned poker pro, conquered a field of 2,498 players to win the NLH PKO title and a massive $675,224 payday (including $297K in bounties). “The feeling [of winning] is indescribable,” said Rigapols81. “Last year I finished fourth in this exact same tournament, and now I finally managed to win it! I plan to celebrate with my family and friends, nothing special, there’s still a lot of work ahead.”
In the PLO PKO, PohPohPohPAAAA bested 641 entries, collecting $135,789 plus $117,099 in bounties.
