-- LinearGame, an emerging AI-native game startup based in the US and Singapore, announced that it has raised a multi-million-dollar pre-seed round led by HT Opportunity Fund, joined by several undisclosed veterans from the gaming and AI industries. The capital will accelerate the launch of Yoroll.ai, a new interactive video platform that aims to turn the next generation of short-form video creators into playable-movie directors — no game engine or technical skills required.

The company’s core insight is simple: most people will never open Unity or Unreal Engine, but nearly everyone knows how to shoot and edit a short video. LinearGame believes that this is enough to create a game in the AI era. Yoroll.ai is built around that premise — transforming text prompts, photos, and short clips into branching, cinematic experiences that feel more like interactive films than traditional 3D games.
“Games are usually built on heavyweight engines and asset pipelines,” said LinearGame founder and CEO Heath X. “We’re flipping that: generative video becomes the rendering layer, and Yoroll.ai handles the branching logic and game components under the hood. The goal is to let anyone create a playable, personalized story without touching a traditional engine.”
On Yoroll.ai, creators describe a scene, upload reference images, and define a few decision points. The platform’s generative pipeline then renders scenes as video, stitches them into a branching narrative, and layers in gameplay mechanics such as choices, quick-time events (QTEs) and light combat — all without code, 3D software, or prior game development knowledge. LinearGame pitches this as “a video-first, story-first creation flow,” designed for TikTok-era storytellers, indie filmmakers, fanfiction writers, and anyone with a camera and an idea.
To demonstrate what AI-generated interactive video can look like at scale, LinearGame is also launching LinearGame Studio, its first-party production arm. The studio is developing several interactive film-style titles in high-engagement genres including romance, supernatural thriller, and mystery. These games will serve as flagship IP, creative templates, and proof-of-concept projects for aspiring creators on the platform.
LinearGame believes the future of entertainment will blur the lines between short-form video, cinematic storytelling, and lightweight interactive gameplay. The company argues that the next wave of hit games may not resemble sprawling open-world 3D epics but instead feel more like bingeable, playable TV episodes created by the same people who dominate TikTok and YouTube Shorts today.
The newly raised funding will be used to scale engineering and content teams, integrate upcoming AI video technologies, accelerate the closed beta of Yoroll.ai, and launch LinearGame Studio’s debut titles across PC, console, mobile and web. The company expects to unveil additional platform features and creator tools in the months ahead.
