The AgriCarm app solves challenges in modern agriculture by offering a suite of tools previously available only to large-scale industrial farms. Its features include an automated plant counting system, a Global Positioning System (GPS)-integrated soil mapping, and a precision input application tool. These technologies enable farmers to make data-driven decisions, optimize resource use, and improve crop yields.

Francisco Velasquez, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of AgriCarm, states, "Our goal is to help farmers with the tools they need to thrive. This app represents a step toward providing precision agriculture, allowing farmers of all sizes to benefit from technological advancements."

The automated plant counting feature uses advanced image recognition technology to assess plant density and uniformity during the emergence stage. This allows farmers to identify areas of low germination and receive early recommendations for targeted interventions. "By providing real-time data on crop establishment, we are helping farmers address issues promptly, which can impact overall yield," Francisco Velasquez explains.

AgriCarm's GPS-integrated soil mapping feature enables farmers to create digital field maps by combining soil data with GPS technology. This facilitates optimized real-time input application, making variable rate technology accessible even to farmers with limited resources. The precision input application method applies fertilizers and pesticides exactly where needed, reducing waste and environmental impact while potentially boosting yields.

AgriCarm has incorporated a farmer collaboration network within the app. This platform allows farmers to share knowledge, build support communities, and collectively solve common problems. "We believe that connecting farmers can lead to new solutions and improved practices across the industry," Francisco Velasquez states.

The AgriCarm app also includes educational resources, offering in-app modules on precision agriculture, including soil analysis, crop monitoring, and nutrient management. Additionally, AgriCarm plans to provide access to online courses led by industry experts, focusing on the practical application of technology in modern farming.

According to Francisco Velasquez, a free basic version of the app will be offered, making it accessible to all farmers. Premium features, such as certified courses and custom map creation requests, will be available as paid options, allowing farmers to invest in advanced capabilities as their needs expand.

"We are committed to continuous improvement of our technology," Francisco Velasquez adds. "By working closely with farmers, we aim to create a future where precision agriculture is the norm for farms of all sizes."

The app will initially support multiple languages, including English and Spanish, to cater to a global audience. As the agricultural sector faces the challenge of increasing food production while reducing resource use and environmental impact, AgriCarm's method offers a solution for farmers worldwide.
