Harry Selent, President of www.MedicalBillingSoftware.com announced official release of the popular Medisoft Medical Billing Software Program to Version 20 for medical offices around the country.
“This new release greatly increases the productivity of the typical doctors office because it now allows the medical office staff to hand a new patient a tablet, and let the patient enter their typical information on a tablet, instead of on paper. This step allows the physician practice to skip typing in data that the patient already wrote on paper. All the front office staff have to do is verify the information the patient entered, then click a button to add the new patient in Medisoft, or update their existing information.
Another feature the new medical practice management software offers is the ability to add forms and waivers that patients usually have to sign, and allow the patient to review these on a iPad or Droid tablet, then sign and accept the forms with a digital signature and acceptance.
Doctors can now also view their medical appointment schedule remotely on their iPhone using the new Medisoft App on the Apple App Store. This app allows physicians to view their schedule remotely, so they will never be late to an appointment again, or allows them to call the office to explain why they will be late.
The most exciting feature for medical clinics is the ability for the doctor to view and submit medical superbills or encounter forms electronically. The process is simple. The office staff creates a superbill or encounter form much like their existing paper based one with common medical procedure codes, and common diagnosis codes. The medical provider then selects a patient, then taps to indicate the procedures done, and diagnosis codes assigned, then can add customized notes or instructions for the patient. The encounter form can then be sent to Medisoft, reviewed for accuracy by the biller, then transferred to Medisoft for printing and processing.
