WIRED Magazine Cofounder Releases Graphic Novel Focuses Future Storytelling Via Fan-created Content

Graphic Novel inspired for fan-created content has been released by Kevin Kelly, and partner Steve Masseroni to benefit entertainment industry and comic book industry. To allow fan-created content is the next evolution in Graphic Novels.

The new Silver Cord graphic novel attempts to fill this gap and is focusing on it’s fans first with it’s large graphic novel having combined talents from the film industry and other industries to arrive in the middle as their first step.


Birthed in Silicon Valley, part of the dream is for enthusiastic fans to take Silver Cord and create their own stories. How a story is told matters the most, followed by the art.

This graphic novel explores the spiritual dimensions of technology in a world with dark angels trying to ensoul conscious robots of the future.


The Silver Cord holds back no punches with it’s incredible storytelling that moves the reader with raw emotions one can’t help but ask for more of the story.


Kevin Kelly and Steve Masseroni have teamed up with world-class professionals from around the world to make up this unique team of talented screenwriters, artists, illustrations, and contributions are simply outstanding. Newly discovered artists as well as artists whose work many have seen on the big screen.


Experience from Companies include credits but are not limited to Lucasfilm, ILM, and Disney for movies such as Cars, Toy Story, Star Wars, Star Trek, Captain America, G.I. Joe, The Avengers, Transformers, Iron Man, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Harry Potter.


Kevin Kelly is a cofounder of WIRED magazine and is a futurist who was the inspiration for his contributions for films such as, The Matrix Trilogy and The Minority Report.


Steve Masseroni, a creative director at NVIDIA, has designed and illustrated work for Electronic Arts, Lucasfilm and DisneyToon Studios. As a teenager and young adult Steve’s comic book and young graphic novel friends included the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Hellboy and used to carpool from the San Francisco bay area to San Diego for Comic-Con with one of them when he was about 16 years old.


What makes this project of passion truly remarkable is that they began 11 years ago on a part-time basis. After publishing the first volume in 2012, they decided to finish the next volume by utilizing social media and crowd funding on Kickstarter to fund the production of an oversized graphic novel to complete the story.


The Silver Cord has redefined the comic book industry as it pertains to the Independents and what they are beginning to accomplish by adding new ideas, new processes, and new methods benefits aspiring artists and independents as a whole.


Will The Silver Cord makes it’s way to the big screen just like other graphic novels have such as, Kingsman The Secret Service, Big Hero 6, R.I.P.D., Oblivion, Dredd, Red, Whiteout, Surrogates, Watchmen, Wanted, The Spirit, 300, Hellboy, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Blade, Men in Black, Spawn, and The Rocketeer.
