Westerville, Ohio • November 5, 2019 – Dor-Mar Westerville Heating and Air Repair today announced the opening of a new office to serve homeowners in Westerville, Ohio, and in Worthington, Powell, Lewis Center, New Albany, and surrounding areas of northeast Columbus.
Third generation owner Steven Brewer said they decided to open a location in Westerville because of its key location near a number of residential areas. “We’ve been getting more calls from this area of town this year, which seems to be growing exponentially. We feel like we can better service our customers with a neighborhood office,” he said.
“My grandfather started the company in 1962,” said Steven Brewer, owner of the family-run business. “We were originally based in Newark, then expanded to the Columbus area several years ago as demand for our level of quality grew.”
Like their other six locations, this office will be staffed by senior customer service specialists, who are able to schedule furnace and air conditioning tune-ups, safety checks, and emergency HVAC repair appointments. They also offer replacement equipment estimates as needed. The specialists will rotate shifts among Dor-Mar’s seven offices in Newark, Columbus, Reynoldsburg, Grove City, Zanesville, Dublin and now, Westerville.
The office will not be open to customers 24 hours a day, but phone lines are always staffed for emergency no-heat or no air conditioning service all the time. Dor-Mar offers fast, same-day service at no additional charge.
“We have an advantage over our competitors because of the number of trucks we have out in the field most of the time, and the number of highly-trained, certified furnace and AC techs,” Steven said. “We are known for providing the fastest, most reliable HVAC service in the area. And we don’t charge extra,” Steven said.
“With more than 40 employees working out of seven locations, all who are passionate about taking care of our customers’ needs,” he said he expects response times to be even better than before, like having the local fire station closer to your house.
With winter and cold temperatures just around the corner, the upgrade in service couldn’t come at a better time. He recommends homeowners have their heating systems inspected and prepped for winter now. Once the temperatures outside drop and the furnace is turned on for the first time, that’s when they tend to fail — when they’re needed the most.
Preventative maintenance also brings other potential financial rewards, like lower energy bills. HVAC equipment that is performing at its peak efficiency uses less gas or electric.
Every customer is automatically enrolled in their service contract program that includes a spring AC tune-up and a fall pre-season furnace tune-up and safety check. Brewer considers the service contract as sort of a ‘safety valve’ to ensure no families are in danger from unsafe equipment, and is a very popular choice with their customers. He urges homeowners schedule their fall tune-up sooner than later to avoid the uncomfortable feeling of no heat when the temperatures drop.
