Coodanup, Mandurah, Western Australia artist Jos Coufreur’s studio announced the launch of large painting commissions service. The artist now accepts commissions for originals or prints of artwork rendered in the style of spontaneous realism.

The award-winning Mandurah artist offers large-canvas portraits of musicians, artists, celebrities, and animals as well as landscapes and cityscapes. Coufreur will accept commissions of individual portraits and also offers special portraiture sessions for pets. His portraits are in the style of spontaneous realism, an abstract styling that combines the tenets of abstract art with elements of realism, including brushstrokes and elements that are not part of the subject image.
The Jos Coufreur studio offers prints on art paper and canvas as well as art on coasters & greeting cards in Coodanup. Coufreur’s works are on display in several leading galleries in and around Perth as well as in Auckland, Napier, Wellington, and Queenstown, NZ.
Coufreur lists Howard Terpning, Rien Poortvliet, Voka, Francoise Nielly and Christian Hook as his influences and inspiration. He is the recipient of more than 45 awards in Committee, Highly Commended and People’s Choice Award categories. He is the recipient of the prestigious City of Gosnells Art Award 2016, Alcoa and Pinjarra Rotary Art Prize, City of Belmont Art Award 2014, Camden Art Prize 2015, and first place at the Mandurah CrabFest 2017 Plein Air Competition.
