Recently, at the Ministry of Economy of Turkey, a meeting between Volodymyr Nosov, CEO of the WhiteBIT cryptocurrency exchange, and Hassan Onal, General Director of the Department of e-commerce, digital trading, and new generation technologies, took place.
At the meeting, the experience of Ukrainian legislation in the direction of cryptocurrency regulation was discussed. The WhiteBIT crypto exchange was directly involved in the development of the Law “On Virtual Assets” in Ukraine, which will soon come into force and benefit the crypto business in the country. Therefore, the company has valuable experience that can be useful for consultations in developing similar legislation in Turkey.
Volodymyr Nosov comments: “I am confident that the relevant legislation will soon appear in Turkey, and we, in turn, are ready to share our experience and create conditions for the implementation of technological solutions together with the public sector of the partner country.”
Shortly before the start of the war in Ukraine, WhiteBIT opened an office in Turkey, where some of the company's employees moved from Kharkiv. According to the CEO of WhiteBIT, the choice fell to this country because of the similarities between Ukrainians and Turks, in particular, their views on the future: "On the one hand, we are united by love and respect for traditions, on the other – by the need to be at the forefront of technology and innovation."
Volodymyr Nosov also visited one of Turkey's largest technology parks, Bilkent Cyberpark in Ankara, with General Manager Faruk Inaltekin and International Projects Manager Okan Yamak.
Bilkent Cyberpark is a modern innovative technology hub with a well-established infrastructure for technical specialists, businesses of various categories, students, and the scientific community.
