-- The 8/6 Virtual Executive Club provides members with a space to develop plans, test theories, and expand their thinking in collaboration with peers. The recently formed club offers a combination of education, accountability, and the chance to expand one's perspective and skills via the collective intelligence of other business owners.

The groups are formed of eight members from similar but non-competing businesses, meeting every six weeks to brainstorm, share knowledge, and develop innovative solutions for growth. The sessions are led by expert coaches and respected thought leaders.
A spokesperson for the group said, “If startup CEOs had access to experts with lifelong experience and a team of peers who were also building companies, we believe the failure rate would be much lower, and the economic impact of higher success rates would be visible to the community.”
There are three membership levels, beginning with the 8/6 Startup Board for pre-launch or early-stage startup founders. This level fills knowledge and support gaps, addressing why about 90% of startups fail. CEOs often lack experience, and the Startup Board offers access to expertise and the support of peers facing similar challenges.
New members have the option to sponsor an entire 8/6 Startup Board or seats at the table. Sponsors are given publicity via the SL Consulting and 8/6 websites alongside local press and social media coverage. There are also opportunities to speak at 8/6 club events and to sell products to club members.
A higher-tier level is the 8/6 Small Enterprise Board, which caters to executives of more established enterprises with revenue from $2-10 million. Members of these groups commonly fulfill multiple roles due to the limited resources of their businesses.
Lastly, the 8/6 CEO Advisory Board is designed for CEOs and presidents who preside over companies with at least $10 million in revenue. According to SL Consulting, Inc., CEOs shoulder a great deal of responsibility, which can lead to stress and often isolation. This level offers a regular source of support from those who understand firsthand the pressures of leading a company.
