Conexwest (855-878-5233) has updated its air conditioner fabrication options for customers looking to keep their shipping containers cool and comfortable all year round.

As part of the update, Conexwest customers now have three heavy-duty 2-in-1 air conditioner units to choose from: an 8,000 BTU, 18,500 BTU, and 25,000 BTU unit. All three are manufactured by Frigidaire and feature the company’s Effortless™ Temperature Control technology.

The entry-level 8,000 BTU unit has a dehumidification level of 1.5 pints per hour, a combined energy efficiency ratio of 9.8, and a cooling area of up to 350 square feet. It comes with a multi-speed fan and a programmable 24-hour on/off timer for flexible temperature control.

"If you're planning to use a shipping container as a home office or a pop-up store, air conditioning is vital, especially with the kind of weather we have now," said a spokesperson for the company. "Our team at Conexwest can perform custom AC installations in any unit, no matter where you are in the country."

Slightly more powerful than the 8,000 BTU unit is the 18,500 BTU model, which has a dehumidification level of 5.5 pints per hour, a combined energy efficiency ratio of 10.7, and a cooling area of up to 1,050 square feet. Like the 8,000 BTU unit, it also comes with a multi-speed fan, an on/off timer, and a slide-out chassis for easy installation and maintenance.

The most powerful air conditioner offered by Conexwest is the 25,000 BTU unit. With a cooling area of up to 1,600 square feet, it can disperse cold air evenly throughout most of the company’s shipping containers. Its combined energy efficiency ratio of 9.4 also makes it an eco-friendly choice.

Since all three units are window-mounted, custom installation is typically required. Once installed, they are easy to clean and maintain, with filters that can be hand-washed.

“Conexwest installed an 18,500 BTU air conditioner into our ground-level office unit, and it has made a huge difference, especially in the warmer months,” said a satisfied customer. “Installation was a breeze, and operating the unit is as simple as pressing a few buttons. Having it around makes work a lot more bearable.”
