As of December 17th, individuals flying United Airlines traveling to Hawaii are able to take a self-collected, mail-in test provided by ADL Health.

Since October 15th, the State of Hawaii began a pre-travel testing program. The pre-travel testing program provides the opportunity to avoid a mandated 14 – day self-quarantine period. If an individual traveling to Hawaii is unable to provide negative test results prior to the final leg of travel to Hawaii, the state requires an individual to quarantine for 14 days or the length of stay.

ADL Health advises to order the HomeCollect kit a week in advance in order to ensure test is completed 72 hours prior to travel. After the test is received, the testing process must be completed over ZOOM in the morning, so you are able to deliver the test to your local UPS Store before the last air pick-up time for the day. The test must be shipped the same day the test is administrated via Zoom. Results will be received electronically.

The test must be completed no more than 72 hours prior to the final leg of departure and must show proof of a negative test result upon arrival in Hawaii to be exempt from self-quarantine mandate.

In order to travel into Hawaii, it is required negative test results are uploaded to the State of Hawaii database.
