-- UniTech Services Group announces the hiring of Kevin Bumpus as Business Development Manager for government accounts. The talent acquisition signals the company’s expanding commitment to serving U.S. Department of Energy National Laboratories, designated Department of Energy (DOE) facilities and projects, as well as U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) groups.
Bumpus brings 36 years of nuclear industry experience to UniTech’s staff, having served infacility management, operations management, maintenance management, work control management, project management, and procurement roles, working on and supporting key Department of Energy initiatives. He most recently served as a facility manager for Omega Technical Services. In his new role, Bumpus will continue to develop industry relationships and collaborate with UniTech’s team of regional sales representatives.

In 2016, UniTech added waste management and bulk survey for release (BSFR) capabilities with the opening of its Oak Ridge, TN service center. UniTech operates within Basic Ordering Agreement DE-EM0003715 for DOE Low-Level and Mixed Low-Level Waste Treatment Services.
As the government sector becomes more involved in nuclear reactor decommissioning projects, UniTech is also prepared to support with its comprehensive protective clothing, respirator and safety equipment inventory programs.
