
The Black Sorrows – One of Australia’s most loved bands, The Black Sorrows will head to the UK next month to headline at Maverick Festival and celebrate the release of album No.20 Faithful Satellite. The band will also perform side-shows in London and Leicester.

Formed 1984, The Black Sorrows continue to be one of Australia’s most enduring touring bands, earning the reputation as a dynamic live act and festival favourite. Fronted by ARIA Music Hall of Fame inductee Joe Camilleri, the band deliver a glorious musical mix of blues, roots, soul and old school R n B.
Joe Camilleri, has been at the forefront of Australian music culture for decades and was recently awarded “Living Legend” status by Rolling Stone. Joe first came to prominence as leader of seminal 70’s band, Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons. With a career as singer, songwriter, musician and producer that spans over 50 years, Joe is considered one of the most genuinely talented figures in Australian music.
The Black Sorrows have a legion of loyal fans throughout Australia and Europe. There have been hit records, world tours and multi-platinum albums and Joe’s songwriting skills are much in demand with greats, Elvis Costello and John Denver having recorded some of his songs.
