Florida is one of the most hurricane-hit states in the country, 41 percent of all U.S. hurricanes having made landfall in the Sunshine State. Hurricanes remain an active threat for six months out of every year—June 1 to November 30—and demand for protective window treatment continues to grow.
Known for serving South Florida for over two decades, Impact Windows Center is offering homeowners and contractors a way to upgrade to proven hurricane-resistant window systems. Both the PGT 7700A Single Hung and the PGT 7710A Horizontal Roller models are now available as part of the company’s current inventory, which includes custom sizing at no added cost.
“These windows are built for the conditions we face here every year,” said a spokesperson for Impact Windows Center. “They help protect against flying debris, reduce outside noise, and improve energy efficiency—all while offering a clean, low-maintenance alternative to shutters.”
Each window is built to order, with only a 50% deposit required upfront. Both models include laminated impact glass, low-profile locks for added security, and stainless steel components that stand up to salt air. Horizontal and single-hung options allow for easy opening and ventilation while maintaining full protection during a storm.
The single-hung version, the 7700A, is suited for bedrooms, bathrooms, and other areas where vertical operation is ideal. The 7710A horizontal roller model offers wider views and is a common choice in modern home layouts.
Windows are available in multiple dimensions to accommodate a variety of openings, from compact bathroom sizes to larger living room picture windows. Customers can request tinted or obscure glass for added comfort or privacy.
Impact Windows Center also supports contractors and builders with a dedicated discount program and the convenience of online ordering for all PGT window products. Installation services are available through certified subcontractors with over 20 years of experience.
"Every product we carry is tested to meet hurricane impact standards. Our customers count on us for solutions that don’t just meet code—they offer confidence," the spokesperson added.
