St. Louis Home Remodeling Company Launches Interactive Website
BELLEVILLE, IL – Long-time Belleville home improvement company J.T. McDermott Remodeling Contractors has unveiled a new website that not only showcases its work in homes throughout Greater St. Louis, but also serves as a resource for homeowners contemplating a remodel of their homes.
Visitors to the website, www.mcdermottremodeling.com, will find traditional features such company information and photo galleries, but also links to articles about a wide range of industry-related topics. Visitors can also download eBooks that provide guidance in choosing a remodeling contractor and answers questions about the process.
“We have taken what was one-way communication with our customers and turned it into a two-way conversation,” said company Owner Josh McDermott. “For those who have never remodeled their home, it can be a very complex and stressful time. We wanted to demystify the process. The more customers understand going into it, the more satisfied they will be with the results.”
The site is fully scalable to computers, smart phones and tablets and highlights kitchen, bathroom, basement, additions and more the company has completed. It also tells the story of the history of the company that was started by McDermott’s father, Tim McDermott, more than 20 years ago.
“This new site let us position ourselves to reach potential customers in the manner they are looking for contractors today: via the internet,” he said. “Customers don’t simply want a sales pitch; they want knowledge. We believe we are providing it.”
In recent years J.T. McDermott has embraced other digital technologies. It is a member of “Buildertrend” where customers are given a login and can communicate directly with the company, view photos of work in progress and be provided updates on scheduling. It is also a member of Guild Quality, where a third party surveying company asks customers to rate their experience and posts the results online.
