Hidden Gem Restaurant was launched in 2021 by chef/owner Shimar Mitchel who managed to formulate a concept that struck a chord with Michigan residents. Recent menu updates showcase seasonal ingredients sourced to enhance the restaurant’s soup and sandwich lunch menu, upscale brunch menu, and an elegant dinner menu that includes freshly made crab cakes, Southern Fried Catfish, New York Steak and Shrimp, and their acclaimed Cauliflower Wings.
With years of experience, Chef Mitchel says that launching a business post pandemic was more of an opportunity for him than a risk. The restaurant seats approximately 100 guests, offers delivery, takeout, and catering services, an in-house private dining area for parties and special events, and features a chef’s table that many are asking to reserve to blend an element of showmanship with their much-needed night out with friends and family.
